  1. Thank you for following Voices-and-visions! Thank you for creating this beautiful and very inspirational website! And thanks for reblogging three of my posts. Also, the flyers are a terrific idea!

      1. You’re welcome. I just watched the finning video, I had never heard of that before. That is crazy. If they were going to fish brutalizing them like that is horrible. Though hardly anybody eats sharks. I used to go fishing and I do not eat fish, so I always release and use small hooks to avoid damage. That video had a hook and line that looked like it was for a substantially larger shark.

      2. I fished a lot more in the early to late 80s, then went years without and then went a decade without. I never even liked the smell of fish. I normally bring towels to hold them without getting a smell and getting a decent yet gentle grip so I have a much easier time getting the tiny hook out without added injury.

  2. Hello, my name’s Cassie and I would be interested in working with you. Right now, I am in the process of putting together an ebook called “Saving the Innocent” where I gather pieces from vegans and animal activists all over the world. At the end of the ebook, I am planning on having a section titled “Take Action” or “How you can help” where I share resources and websites. If you would be interested, I would love for you to write a paragraph or two explaining what you do with Making Waves, and the picture of all of your flyers on the “Order Flyers” page. If you would like to check out my first ebook, open this link- If you want to see my instagram page open this link- So sorry I left you a comment asking about this, I just couldn’t find your email address! If you would want to work with me, send me an email back at Thanks so much!

    1. Hi thanks for visiting. I hear you about AZ, same thing here in PA. Many times I decline if I’m only buying one thing, especially if a small item…then I get a weird look or reply. I also use my cloth bags often. I would LOVE to see a ban on the east coast soon–the more that jump on the bandwagon, the better we will all be.
